Never you ever let the circumstances of your life overwhelm you. Hopelessness is a blindfold. It will cloud your foresight.
Never let the circumstances of your life overwhelm you.
Most people experience this when they have experienced a setback in life or some big failure or disappointment. They suddenly feel that it's over. But it's not.
You have what it takes to get up. You have what it takes to rise again. You could say, "If I do have what it takes, or can, why haven't I". I tell you, it's because you don't know that you can.
The moment you realize that, you definitely will rise above the rubbles and never let yourself be defined by where you've found yourself.
The Story of the prodigal son is such an inspiring one. We all probably know the story. But the line in the story of his life that I found most interesting is the line that says;
When he came to himself.
There is always that "coming to self" point in our lives that will dictate how the rest will go. We can either decide to sit down in despondency and destitution, filled with self pity and despair or rise up and take a walk into the light out of the dark.
I must tell you it takes courage, that moment were you begin to feel tired of being tired, desperate about being desperate and hopeless about being hopeless.
Most people quit at this point. They chose to take the easy way out and end it. But I want to challenge you. To rise again. Tell yourself there is hope, and I tell you, light from nowhere will lit the dark chambers of your heart.
There is always that "coming to self" point in our lives that will dictate how the rest will go.
Don't try to figure out how it will be. Think of this, if the prodigal son had sat down and never experienced that "Coming to Self Moment" , you and I would never have heard the later part of the story that says his father was waiting for him.
Your life is waiting for you. And is yours for the Taking.
